Job Description

CMM Programmer

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CMM Programmer to develop and maintain Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programs and ensure the accuracy of manufactured parts. This role involves creating and executing inspection routines, performing first article, in-process, and final inspections, and collaborating with production and engineering teams to validate part conformance. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in CMM programming, quality assurance, and precision measurement tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain CMM programs to support First Article, In-Process, and Final Inspections.
  • Perform First Article, In-Process, and Final Inspections using CMM equipment.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to determine critical characteristics and inspection plans.
  • Document inspection results and create non-conformance reports as necessary.
  • Monitor and control test equipment to ensure accuracy and functionality.
  • Train CMM operators on inspection processes and equipment.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Verisurf).
  • Strong understanding of blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and Form, Fit, and Function principles.
  • Hands-on experience with precision measurement tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges, CMMs, and measurement arms).
  • Knowledge of QMS (Quality Management Systems) and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Experience:

  • 3+ years in a production, manufacturing, or quality assurance environment, with experience in CMM programming and inspection processes.

Physical Requirements:

  • Office: Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Manufacturing: Ability to walk, stand, bend, kneel, stoop, and reach throughout the workday.
